Overview

Talent Software Services is seeking a Project/Program Manager - IT 1 for a 6-month contract position in El Dorado Hills, California. The role involves overseeing project management methodology throughout all project phases, including design, scope management, and quality reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, track, and manage project budget, plans, timelines, and scope
  • Manage project resources, including procuring project staff and coaching team members
  • Define business requirements in collaboration with functional project teams
  • Lead development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Define test plans and ensure products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing
  • Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process and develop rollout plans
  • Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
  • Ensure proper systems development and project management processes are utilized
  • Present to steering committees or project sponsors

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science or engineering)
  • PMP or PMI certification
  • 0-2 years of project management experience
  • People management and team building skills
  • Ability to adapt judgment in changing environments
  • Strong risk assessment skills
  • Experience in large-scale, multi-platform systems environments
