Overview

The Project Manager (Traffic Control) at High Star Traffic is responsible for overseeing traffic control projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves planning and scheduling activities, managing client relationships, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities to meet goals within budget and schedule.
  • Establish a project work plan with milestones and deadlines.
  • Serve as the main representative for the project with customers and government agencies.
  • Review project costs and manage the change order process as needed.
  • Perform traffic design services following MUTCD standards.
  • Communicate schedules and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Travel to worksites to verify work readiness and quality standards.
  • Oversee the Assistant Project Manager.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in Heavy Highway Construction, Traffic Control, or related field.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
