Job Description

Overview

The Middlesex Corporation, a leader in the heavy civil construction industry, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction efforts on rail projects. The role involves ensuring that projects are built safely, on time, and within budget while interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Review project features with the Estimating Department
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Submit preliminary paperwork and manage submittals
  • Initiate project startup and closeout processes
  • Manage project budgets and submit cost revisions
  • Coordinate project activities with the Project Superintendent
  • Conduct weekly project meetings
  • Prepare and review estimates with owner's representatives
  • Attend final inspection and complete documentation

Required skills

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in civil construction
  • Experience in budget management and project scheduling
  • Knowledge of all phases of construction
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
