Overview

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Project Manager - Rail in Boston, Massachusetts to oversee the total construction effort of rail projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on budget, and on schedule. This position requires collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones and maintain quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee total construction effort of rail projects
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Submit preliminary project paperwork and maintain project files
  • Sign off on budget prior to construction start
  • Manage all aspects of project cost management
  • Coordinate project activities with Project Superintendent
  • Conduct weekly project meetings
  • Prepare and review periodic estimates
  • Attend final punch list inspections and complete closeout documents

Required skills

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or construction-related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil construction
  • Experience in budget management and schedule control
  • Knowledge of all phases of construction
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership qualities and organizational skills
