Job Description

Overview

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager for public and private projects in central Northeastern Pennsylvania. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to ensure successful completion within established timelines and budgets, while fostering teamwork and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Maintain up-to-date project progress information and cost control data
  • Create and update project schedules monthly
  • Work with foremen and superintendents to build projects effectively
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and oversee project security and safety
  • Process change orders and maintain project files
  • Conduct site visits at least weekly for troubleshooting and quality assurance
  • Chair project meetings and provide monthly reports on project status and budget
  • Assist with new project transitions and pre-job planning

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relevant field
  • Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project software
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements
