Job Description

Overview

Calgon Carbon Corporation is seeking a Project Manager IV to lead commercial equipment projects from inception through to completion. This role involves coordinating schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring projects meet environmental and government standards while being delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of assigned commercial equipment projects
  • Establish schedules and resource requirements
  • Direct and monitor project progress to ensure timely and on-budget completion
  • Prepare budgetary estimates for standard equipment
  • Review RFP specifications and develop proposals for large equipment projects
  • Issue and maintain Project Initiation Documents
  • Conduct periodic team meetings and maintain project files
  • Travel to project sites to resolve issues and ensure adherence to specifications
  • Track project costs and ensure proper revenue recognition

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in large equipment cost estimates and proposals
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 7-10 years of experience as a project manager
  • Experience with SAP Project Systems
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to resolve project scope, cost, and schedule issues
