Job Description

Overview

The Middlesex Corporation, a leader in the heavy civil construction industry, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction efforts and ensure projects are completed safely, on budget, and on schedule. The role involves collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain high standards of project delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all Safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Department to review project features
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with the Project Engineer and Superintendent
  • Prepare preliminary paperwork including submittals and sub-contractor approvals
  • Initiate project startup and closeout procedures
  • Manage project cost, including submitting quarterly cost revisions
  • Coordinate all project activities to ensure milestones are met
  • Conduct weekly project meetings and maintain communication with stakeholders
  • Oversee final inspections and complete closing documents

Required skills

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or construction-related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil construction
  • Expertise in budget management and project scheduling
  • Knowledge of construction phases and quality control
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to adapt to different management styles
