Overview

K2 Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a well-respected electrical contracting firm in Southern California. This role involves overseeing the delivery of complex electrical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications for compliance
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Lead project meetings including kickoff and progress updates
  • Monitor project costs, track changes, and manage change orders
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Procure materials and manage vendor relationships
  • Oversee field personnel and collaborate with Superintendents/Fistern
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
  • Prepare and present project status reports to leadership

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in electrical contracting
  • Experience with ground-up and tenant improvement electrical projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and scheduling
  • Familiarity with NEC and local building codes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
