Overview

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of roadway projects in Hazard, Kentucky. The role includes ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of projects while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are executed safely and in compliance with corporate safety policies.
  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring conformance to contract scope and quality standards.
  • Coordinate labor needs, equipment, and all project resources.
  • Oversee project permits, design plans, and drawings.
  • Develop and manage employee schedules and ensure accurate time reporting.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget while optimizing cash flow.
  • Manage project risks, timelines, and cost variances.
  • Oversee branch operations, including equipment management and DOT compliance.
  • Make recommendations on hiring and employee status changes.
  • Mentor and develop project personnel.
  • Communicate project status to customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of revenue, margins, costs, and milestones.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of all projects including close-out reports.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers.

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, ideally in traffic control or construction.
  • Strong understanding of financial aspects of job costing and variance analysis.
  • Ability to effectively schedule resources.
  • Experience in projecting revenue and costs based on backlog and bid pipeline.
  • Knowledge of branch-specific operations and labor relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ability to learn ERP systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
