Job Description

Overview

Sky Resorts is seeking a Project Manager to oversee various construction and improvement projects across their RV and manufactured home communities in Northern Michigan and beyond. This hands-on role requires a value-oriented approach and a strong focus on maintaining project schedules and managing contractor relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Own projects from scoping through closeout, including MH installations, utility infrastructure, and site improvements
  • Build and maintain detailed Gantt charts for project scheduling
  • Digitally draw projects for clarity and accountability
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors regarding scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Ensure onsite execution meets quality standards
  • Drive a rigorous multi-quote process for all projects
  • Track and explain project budget variances
  • Coordinate manufactured home deliveries and installations
  • Manage permits, inspections, and compliance with local codes

Required skills

  • 2+ years of project management experience in construction or land development
  • Strong budget management and cost discipline skills
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Contractor management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a full project load
  • Familiarity with utility infrastructure including water/sewer and electrical systems
