Overview

The Project Engineer at E.S. Boulos Company plays a crucial role in supporting construction management functions within the electrical construction industry. With projects involving federal, state, and municipal clients, the engineer assists senior project management in preparing plans, specifications, and providing general project support.

Key responsibilities

  • Interpret construction drawings
  • Review plans and specifications, creating checklists of contract features
  • Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Prepare statements of work, submittals, and change management documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements during construction operations
  • Inspect equipment, material, workmanship, and finished construction
  • Monitor work progress in the field for compliance with procedures and specifications
  • Attend regularly and predictably

Required skills

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in commercial electrical or general construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
