Job Description

Overview

Exxel Pacific is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the daily management and documentation of construction projects. This role involves overseeing various processes such as submittals, RFIs, and cost control while ensuring adherence to project schedules and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in daily administrative management of construction projects
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, and as-built processes
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager for material procurement
  • Develop bid packages and track project scheduling
  • Accurately manage project documents including drawings and invoices
  • Implement change order procedures and manage project budgets
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain photographic/video records
  • Stay current with necessary training related to project needs

Required skills

  • B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering
  • 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam/PDF and online plan rooms
  • Experience with Viewpoint is beneficial
