Overview

Rachel Contracting is seeking a Project Engineer to assist with various earthwork and general civil construction projects. This role involves collaborating with the Project Manager and Superintendent while ensuring project schedules and quality are maintained.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent on earthwork and civil construction projects
  • Track production quantities and costs, reporting to the Project Manager
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress and resolving issues
  • Manage subcontract schedules and ensure quality of work
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting and analyzing information
  • Support various project management duties for construction projects

Required skills

  • Experience in construction or related fields
  • Currently enrolled or working towards a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team under challenging conditions
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with prioritization skills
  • Willingness to travel
