Job Description

Overview

Progressive Roofing is seeking a Roofing Estimator in Duncanville, TX to join their growing team. This role involves collaborating with clients and team members to deliver high-quality estimates for various roofing systems on commercial properties, providing an opportunity for learning and skill development in the field of commercial roofing.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints and prepare material quotes and labor requirement quotes.
  • Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management use.
  • Consult with subcontractors and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
  • Work with Project Managers and Management to evaluate bids.
  • Organize and manage a cost estimating database and ensure historical data is used.
  • Identify cost trends for reduction and process improvement.
  • Estimate prices on change orders for existing contracts.
  • Attend pre-construction and bid meetings.
  • Maintain rapport with property managers, contractors, and manufacturers.

Required skills

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures and equipment operation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to write effective reports and business correspondence
  • Problem-solving ability and data analysis skills
