Job Description

Overview

As a Progressive Care Nurse at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with medical providers and the care team. This role provides an opportunity to influence patient care decisions and advocate for patients and families, ensuring outstanding patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic responses
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions and treatment plans
  • Document care administration thoroughly and timely in the patient's medical record

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of employment
  • BCLS certification within 30 days of employment
  • Experience in patient care and advocacy
