Overview

The Program Supervisor at Harry Meyering Center in Faribault, MN, is responsible for overseeing the health and safety of individuals served, maintaining the physical site, and supervising staff. This role involves providing support to meet the needs of developmentally disabled individuals in both their homes and the community, while ensuring a person-centered approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide supportive, person-centered supervision to individuals and team members
  • Assist individuals with daily living needs and facilitate engagement in activities
  • Support medical needs, including medication administration and attending appointments
  • Monitor personal finances for individuals and maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Oversee program operations, including budgeting and location upkeep
  • Complete required documentation and communicate programming updates
  • Supervise and support staff through scheduling, orientation, and performance management
  • Ensure safe staffing ratios and promote a positive work environment
  • Participate in on-call rotation and handle tasks during unstructured shift times
  • Assist with planning and implementing person-centered plans
  • Follow all health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
  • Provide direct care and support as needed

Required skills

  • Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate conflict resolution and apply basic behavioral concepts
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Positive attitude and strong advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
