Overview

The Program Supervisor at Harry Meyering Center in Faribault, MN, is responsible for overseeing the health and safety of individuals with developmental disabilities. This role includes maintaining the physical site, supervising employees, and providing support and encouragement to those served, ensuring a person-centered approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide supportive, person-centered supervision to individuals and team members
  • Assist individuals with daily living needs and encourage engagement in activities
  • Support medical needs, including medication administration
  • Monitor personal finances and maintain a safe living environment
  • Oversee program operations, including budgeting and site maintenance
  • Complete required documentation and communicate programming updates
  • Supervise staff through scheduling, orientation, and performance management
  • Ensure safe staffing ratios and promote a positive work environment
  • Participate in on-call rotation and handle tasks during unstructured time
  • Assist with planning and implementing person-centered plans
  • Follow health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
  • Provide direct care and support as needed

Required skills

  • Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and respond effectively in emergencies
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and apply basic behavioral concepts
  • Positive attitude and strong advocacy skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with an insurable driving record
