Overview

The Program Specialist at CRSI in Allen County is responsible for overseeing and coordinating services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves managing relationships with various stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulations while providing advocacy and support to consumers.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise service coordination and operations for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Establish and monitor relationships with consumers, parents, staff, and community members
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of support services and consumer programs
  • Advocate for consumers to ensure safety and report any incidents of abuse or neglect
  • Provide assistance and training to staff regarding service delivery and standards
  • Manage hiring, training, and development of professional staff
  • Monitor budgetary practices and consumer finances
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Associates Degree (Bachelor's preferred) with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of community-based agencies
  • Strong communication, writing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership abilities
