Job Summary An organization supporting a U.S. Space Force customer is seeking a Program Security Officer Level 2 to support multi-discipline security requirements with a strong emphasis on personnel security.This role will provide day-to-day personnel security support for Special Access Program (SAP) activities, including conducting security verifications through systems such as DISS and JADE, administering security education and awareness training, and supporting compliance with applicable DoD, USAF, and USSF regulations related to SAP, SCI, and collateral security programs.The selected candidate will interface regularly with program management teams and government security leadership to ensure security priorities are met while maintaining accurate personnel security records and supporting overall mission success. Key Responsibilities Administer day-to-day personnel security operations supporting SAP activitiesConduct personnel clearance and access verifications using DISS, JADE, and related systemsMaintain personnel security records and ensure compliance with applicable security requirementsPrepare and manage Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIAs), debriefings, and access updatesSupport Special Access Program Nomination Process (SAPNP) activitiesProvide security guidance to program managers, mission partners, and industry partnersDraft, review, and coordinate DD254 documentationSupport implementation and administration of resource protection programsAssist with physical, personnel, information, and industrial security functionsMonitor controlled areas to ensure compliance with classified handling proceduresProvide guidance regarding classification marking, safeguarding, storage, destruction, and accountability procedures for classified materialSupport security education, training, and awareness (SETA) initiativesRecommend updates to security procedures and standard operating processes as neededReport compliance concerns and security incidents to government security leadership Qualifications Required Experience & Education Bachelors degree required35 years of relevant DoD experienceMinimum of 2 years supporting SAP and/or SCI environmentsHands-on experience in personnel security or related security disciplinesExperience administering security policies, procedures, and compliance activitiesExperience using DISS, JADE, and related personnel security systems Desired Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of DoD, USAF, and USSF security policies and proceduresAbility to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate complex information clearly and effectivelyStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervisionProactive mindset focused on preventing security issues before they occurAbility to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
