Job Description

Overview

The Program Obsolescence Lead at Raytheon will take on a crucial role within the Obsolescence Integrated Product Team, focusing on resolving issues related to electronic components and their applications. This position demands strong technical understanding and leadership capabilities to guide the team in obsolescence management strategies throughout various project phases.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand and generate program statements of work (SOW) and customer component requirements
  • Develop and maintain a proactive Obsolescence Management process
  • Drive issue resolution through lifetime buys, selection of alternate parts, and redesign efforts
  • Facilitate and support contract negotiations and supplier statements of work
  • Conduct trade study analysis for cost-effective redesign decisions
  • Interface with program and customer leadership to communicate mitigation strategy status

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies
  • Data collection, analysis, and presentation skills
  • Project management experience with schedules and costs
  • Financial and Contract Management experience
  • BOM development and management skills
  • Risk and Opportunity business case analysis experience
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of component failure modes and specs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Willingness to support occasional travel
