Job Description

Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a Program Manager for Research and Creative Excellence within the Graduate College. This role focuses on enhancing support for graduate student research and creative works, involving collaboration with various campus partners and the development of programs aimed at increasing the visibility of graduate initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison to facilitate communication among units supporting research and creative works.
  • Provide administrative and programming support to leadership and assist in event planning.
  • Organize and prepare students for participation in research-related events, including the 3MT competition.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars focused on research skill development.
  • Maintain a database of funding opportunities for graduate students.
  • Partner with faculty to identify and address skill gaps in graduate education.
  • Demonstrate professionalism while managing events and programming.

Required skills

  • Master's degree in a research or creative field preferred, Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in higher education, research administration, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of graduate research processes and creative practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with grant writing and competitive funding applications.
  • Familiarity with research compliance processes such as IRB and IACUC.
