Overview

The Program Manager for Neonatal Services at CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, Texas, is responsible for developing and leading nursing neonatal initiatives within the facility. Collaborating with the Neonatal Medical Director and regional clinical leaders, this role aims to enhance clinical strategies, implement policies, and ensure high-quality patient care aligned with the CHRISTUS Health System.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead nursing neonatal initiatives and oversee neonatal practice.
  • Co-Chair the Neonatal Quality/Oversight & Operations Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with performance indicators and benchmarks.
  • Develop evidence-based neonatal nursing policies and standards of care.
  • Manage resource forecasting and address gaps in resources or training.
  • Facilitate effective communication and ownership of goals among staff.
  • Establish and monitor department quality objectives and milestones.
  • Lead departmental programs that emphasize exceptional neonatal care.

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing
  • Registered Nurse certification in state of employment or compact
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience in leading unit/facility initiatives
