Overview

Aspire Chicago is seeking a Program Leader to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their Day Programs. This full-time role involves creating and leading engaging programs and activities, providing hands-on support, and fostering connections that enhance the lives of individuals in the program.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and present educational and engaging programs based on weekly themes
  • Lead participants through activities and interactive experiences
  • Plan and facilitate community experiences and outings
  • Develop and implement Person-Centered Plans (PCP) tailored to individual needs
  • Monitor and support individuals' health, behavior, and hygiene
  • Ensure accurate documentation of goal tracking
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individual growth
  • Communicate concerns and recommendations to appropriate team members

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Two years of experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to write detailed and accurate reports
  • Physical dexterity to assist individuals with mobility
  • Experience in community engagement and support coordination
