Job Description

Overview

The Program Director Magnet at UCHealth is responsible for developing and overseeing the strategies and administration of the Magnet Program, aiming to achieve and sustain institutional Magnet designation. This is a full-time role based in Colorado Springs, requiring collaboration with nursing leadership and a strong focus on quality improvement and budget management.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan the delivery of the Magnet program in alignment with organizational goals
  • Develop the program evaluation framework to assess strengths and areas for improvement
  • Manage project implementation to achieve goals while controlling resources and costs
  • Prepare and track the annual operating budget for the Magnet program
  • Assist with survey planning, administration, analysis, and evaluation
  • Develop short and long-term strategies to address areas needing improvement

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Executive positions and program management expertise
  • Healthcare administration and nursing leadership experience
  • Quality improvement and budget management skills
  • Strong critical thinking and project implementation capabilities
