Overview

The Program Director for Children's Gymnastics at Olympia-Team Central Gymnastics in Saint Louis will lead and develop the gymnastics program, ensuring high-quality instruction and an exceptional class experience for students and families. This role involves teaching, administrative tasks, hiring staff, and fostering growth and safety within the program.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the gymnastics program at the Rock Hill location
  • Prepare class materials and lesson plans
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and mentorship to staff
  • Maintain consistent instructional quality across all classes
  • Support enrollment growth and retention within the department
  • Assist in identifying, recruiting, and hiring staff
  • Ensure curriculum supports athlete progress and self-esteem
  • Build positive relationships with athletes and families
  • Support marketing initiatives and community outreach

Required skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Moderate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Understanding of Olympia programs and services
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
  • Experience growing a program or increasing participation
  • Background in gymnastics, cheer, ninja, tumbling or dance preferred
