Overview

The Program Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) at Chattanooga College will provide strategic leadership and overall management of the DMS program, focusing on curriculum development and accreditation compliance. The role involves significant interaction with faculty and students to support their success and maintain high educational standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversight and support of students and faculty regarding progress and performance
  • Implementation of strategic priorities related to retention and accreditation compliance
  • Counseling and advising individuals in individual and group settings
  • Education on institutional resources and expectations

  • Maintaining accurate documentation for compliance with accreditation and federal requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field; Master's preferred
  • Current professional credentials in sonography
  • 3-5 years in diagnostic medical sonography; at least 2 years in a supervisory role
