Operations ManagementOperations Management focuses on efficiently meeting the needs of our clients across various lines of business. If your passion is managing and developing staff to ensure quality care to help our clients live their best life we encourage you to apply today!ResponsibilitiesDirects staff engaged in providing academic, vocational, and employability training for all students and ensures that departmental programs meet all Department of Labor, and Company requirementsEnsures adequate instructional programming and professional level instruction is given to trainees in mathematics, reading, workplace communication, wellness, General Education Diploma, diversity, Drivers Education, and all vocational areasObserves classes and monitors effectiveness of classroom management. (One formal Education and one formal Collaborative Team Teaching class observation per month). Provides direction for applied academics Directs all phases of California Department of Social Services SystemSubmits required reports outlining progress, problems, and contemplated changes in the Education, Vocation and California Department of Social Services departmentsMeets weekly with education and vocation managers to plan strategies for improvement. Coordinates development of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and center Career Development Services System PlanCounsels trainees as appropriateRegularly spot-checks classesCommunicates with and visits parents and local agencies as neededAssists in development of community relationships, as neededReviews Center/OMS reports and reconciles appropriately. Develops corrective action plans as neededReviews attendance sheets for accuracy of documentation. Decrease number unexcused absence three to five percent per quarter from previous yearMakes Case Notes in Computer Information System when situation warrants. Monitors weekly Company reports and develops corrective action plans, as needed. Notifies Career Development of apparent deficienciesOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of four years related experience in educationExperience working with youthLeadership and management experience requiredBachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university requiredMaster's degree in education preferredAbout Our Line of BusinessStepStone Family and Youth Services, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides the full spectrum of support to children in need of alternative, safer, and more positive living environments with residential and family services.
