Overview

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking a Professional Transportation Engineer - Lead for their Reno, Nevada office. This role will involve managing various transportation projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and permit various transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs.
  • Collaborate with traffic and structural engineers to deliver comprehensive reports and drawings.
  • Operate CAD software (Autodesk Civil3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer) to produce project plans.
  • Analyze engineering data and create final engineering documents.
  • Mentor junior staff including EITs, drafters, and designers.
  • Assist in business development and prepare proposals for projects.
  • Attend client and public meetings to discuss project details.
  • Coordinate with utility companies and perform fieldwork for construction observation.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • 5-15 years of transportation engineering experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Civil3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Proven technical background in engineering
