Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Production Welder II at their Sparks, NV facility. This role focuses on performing high-quality TIG welding and brazing on various components for gas generation systems and must adhere to specific code requirements set by customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding and brazing on compressors and generators.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and select appropriate materials.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and conduct rework as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain required welding certifications.
  • Troubleshoot basic welding issues and collaborate with engineering.
  • Maintain welding equipment and work areas in safe condition.
  • Monitor material usage and notify supervision of supply needs.
  • Support production efficiency and cost control.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced welders.

Required skills

  • Welding Certification from technical school
  • 3 years of hands-on TIG welding experience
  • Experience with welding and brazing RIX products
  • Ability to complete welding tasks according to specifications
  • Technical documentation application skills
  • Respirator fit and pulmonary function capability
  • Shop math skills including ratios and measurements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and basic computer applications
  • Understanding of air and gas compressors and related equipment
  • Effective communication skills
