Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Production Welder II to join their team in Sparks, Nevada. The role involves performing high-quality TIG welding and brazing on gas generation systems and related components in a safety-compliant environment, contributing to the company's mission of providing innovative technology solutions across various industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding and brazing on compressors and generators.
  • Independently read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment with appropriate materials and settings.
  • Inspect completed welds for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies and proper PPE usage.
  • Support and maintain required welding certifications, ensuring standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot welding issues and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Maintain welding equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
  • Monitor material usage and communicate supply needs to supervision.
  • Contribute to production efficiency and cost control.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced welders.

Required skills

  • Welding Certification from technical school
  • 3 years of hands-on TIG welding experience
  • Experience welding and brazing RIX products
  • Skilled in fabrication activities and fitting welding piping
  • Active certification to MIL-STD-278 welding and brazing standards
  • Ability to apply technical documentation accurately
  • Proficient in shop math and measurements
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and basic computer applications
  • Understanding of air and gas compressors and related equipment
  • Effective communication skills.

What the company offers

  • $32.00 per hour plus DOE
