Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Production Welder I to join their team in Sparks, Nevada. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality TIG welding and brazing on compressors and generators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding and brazing on compressors and related components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies and proper use of PPE
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, correcting defects as necessary
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and clean condition
  • Monitor material usage and notify supervisors of supply levels
  • Ensure effective communication within the department and participate in cross-training

Required skills

  • Welding Certification from technical school
  • 1 year of hands-on TIG welding experience
  • Ability to achieve and maintain certification per Mil-Std-278 standards
  • Ability to read and understand structural drawings and schematics
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing systems
  • Understanding of air and gas compressors and basic manufacturing tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • U.S. Citizenship or qualified U.S. Person status
