Overview

Calgon Carbon Corporation is seeking a Production Technician for their Neville Island Plant in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves operating and controlling manufacturing equipment, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety and environmental standards. The position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts and participating in various safety and quality programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and control manufacturing equipment and heavy machinery
  • Monitor product quality and perform physical inspections of equipment
  • Participate in safety, quality, and team programs including training
  • Maintain neat and orderly work areas to meet safety standards
  • Perform quality testing and manage necessary paperwork
  • Interface with other plant teams and outside contractors
  • Work overtime as necessary to support plant operations

Required skills

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and climb industrial ladders
  • Fork truck operation certification
  • Safety and quality consciousness
