Job Description

Overview

As a Production Technician at PURIS Grains, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, maintaining high standards in food safety and product quality. This position involves monitoring and operating equipment, performing quality checks, and assisting with maintenance tasks, all while adhering to safety and good manufacturing practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate plant equipment to maintain 90% uptime
  • Perform routine and non-routine tasks in a safe manner
  • Fulfill documentation and process check sheets regularly
  • Operate packaging equipment and conduct quality checks
  • Assist with receiving raw materials and keeping the plant clean
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Take corrective action for any equipment issues

Required skills

  • Understanding of GMPs and Food Safety
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Prior fork truck experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or agriculture
  • Problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of physical labor and wearing PPE
