Job Description

Overview

As a Production Technician at Plastipak Packaging, you'll be a vital part of the team that manufactures plastic packaging for everyday products. The role involves operating production machines, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining equipment in a stable work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate extrusion and blow-molding production machines.
  • Adjust machine settings for heat, cooling, and pressure as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Check product quality to ensure it meets customer standards.
  • Collaborate with the shift team to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and Plastipak Academy courses.

Required skills

  • 1+ year of experience operating manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with extrusion or blow molding equipment (a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
