Job Description

Overview

The Production Technician I position at bioMerieux involves operating high-speed equipment for the production and packaging of VITEK 2 cards in a compliant manner with cGMP standards. Responsibilities include equipment setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation associated with production processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute production activities following approved Manufacturing Directions
  • Complete batch records accurately and timely
  • Execute validation protocols for manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Assist in the review and revision of Manufacturing Directions and SOPs
  • Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment using HMI/SCADA interfaces
  • Manage material organization and forklift operations
  • Follow departmental cleaning procedures
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Organize work areas in compliance with cGMP requirements
  • Perform additional assigned duties

Required skills

  • 1 year experience in FDA regulated manufacturing environment and GMP
  • Technical learning aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical data
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform computer applications and SAP transactions
  • Ability to perform calculations for production requirements
