Job Description

Overview

The Production Supervisor Manager for the D Shift at GE Vernova is responsible for overseeing and managing front-line manufacturing employees within the rotors and airfoils manufacturing processes. This role includes team management, production oversight, and implementing process improvements to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of approximately 28 front-line manufacturing employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop employee plans.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and recruit/training new employees.
  • Monitor daily production activities for adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Analyze production data to identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvements using lean manufacturing principles.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with 6 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
