Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor in Sparks, NV, to oversee production operations and ensure the timely completion of quality products. The role involves leading production teams, managing quality assurance, and supporting after-market services.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise Production Leads to ensure efficient production processes
  • Approve daily time and time-off requests and track productivity
  • Ensure on-time assembly of compressors and related components
  • Provide support for field services and warranty support
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to resolve issues
  • Ensure safety standards are met and promote a culture of safety
  • Conduct performance evaluations of staff and provide necessary training
  • Establish preventive maintenance schedules for equipment
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for materials and tools
  • Facilitate communication within the production team

Required skills

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing
  • Five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing mechanical devices
  • Ability to read structural drawings and schematics
  • Basic computer skills and adaptability to software applications
  • Understanding of air and gas compressors and basic manufacturing equipment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
