Job Description

Overview

The Production Supervisor role at Byrnes & Rupkey Inc. involves overseeing production scheduling, inventory management, and personnel training in a manufacturing environment in Omaha, Nebraska. The supervisor will lead teams to ensure efficient production practices while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise manufacturing workers to build and ship quality products.
  • Schedule workflows and manage inventory to meet production targets.
  • Train and develop personnel, including interviewing and hiring new staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering and other departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare and analyze production schedules and departmental workloads.
  • Communicate changes in product designs to relevant departments.

Required skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Supervision experience (2+ years)
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance
  • SAP and MRP planning experience
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Safety compliance knowledge (OSHA 10 or 30)
  • Ability to create written procedures and instructions
