Overview

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd Shift in Portland, Tennessee, responsible for directing and coordinating non-union personnel in the manufacturing and assembly of automotive parts, particularly timing chain system components. The role involves ensuring safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals are met within the department.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise daily activities of assigned employees in the production process
  • Monitor daily material flow and optimize manpower and equipment usage
  • Implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and department operations
  • Manage yearly department budget and reduce production costs
  • Establish and maintain effective communication within and across departments
  • Analyze and resolve work problems; assist employees in problem-solving
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records
  • Make decisions regarding production schedules and personnel matters

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and ISO procedures
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities
