Job Description

Overview

The Production Supervisor at U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is responsible for directing and coordinating union personnel in the manufacturing and assembly of automotive parts, specifically timing chain system components. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and overseeing continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, train, coach, and supervise the daily activities of assigned employees
  • Create and monitor the efficient flow of material through the department
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans
  • Monitor and manage the departmental budget to reduce costs
  • Foster working relationships with associated departments
  • Establish effective communication with staff through meetings
  • Analyze and resolve work problems
  • Maintain time and attendance records
  • Ensure accurate inventory management
  • Collaborate with HR on grievance and disciplinary matters
  • Make daily decisions on production schedules and personnel issues

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • 3 to 7 years of supervisory or production leadership experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
  • Strong knowledge of EHS standards, Quality Control, and Production processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift as needed
