Our client is searching for an experienced Production Superintendent to lead production teams, improve plant performance, and ensure operations meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated manufacturing professional who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and delivering results in a wood products manufacturing environment. Primary Responsibilities • Oversee all daily production activities to achieve operational goals for safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. • Lead and develop production supervisors while fostering accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement. • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the facility. • Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and support capital improvement projects. • Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce waste, and increase overall plant efficiency. • Develop production schedules and coordinate resources to meet customer demands. • Prepare and manage departmental budgets while controlling operating costs. • Support employee training initiatives and lead ongoing safety and continuous improvement programs. • Collaborate with purchasing, quality, technical, and support departments to achieve plant objectives. Qualifications • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. • Seven or more years of experience in the wood products industry is strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, production systems, and plant operations. • Demonstrated success leading teams and implementing operational improvements. • Effective communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities. • Working knowledge of budgeting, purchasing, engineering, employee relations, and production management. • A results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
