Overview

The Production Planning & Scheduling Manager at Daniel Defense is responsible for overseeing the planning process to align demand and supply plans for manufacturing operations. This role involves creating schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and optimized inventory.

Key responsibilities

  • Integrate sales forecasts and inventory planning for seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop demand forecasts and supply plans.
  • Participate in weekly SIOP meetings, providing data-driven insights.
  • Monitor KPIs including forecast accuracy and inventory turns.
  • Develop inventory control strategies to balance stock availability and cost.
  • Analyze inventory trends and demand fluctuations.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems for accurate inventory records.
  • Oversee production scheduling in alignment with demand forecasts.
  • Address operational inefficiencies and optimize scheduling accuracy.
  • Manage the scheduling team to maintain production schedules.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Operations management
  • 5-10+ years in a planning or supply chain role
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects
