Job Description

Overview

The Production Planner at SHD Composite Materials Inc. will play a crucial role in the efficient and accurate operation of the production department by creating and maintaining production schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience in production scheduling or related areas and will engage actively with various internal teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication in support of the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to company Health & Safety procedures and compliance standards including OSHA and AS9100.
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain production schedules to maximize efficiency and meet customer timelines.
  • Gather data from internal teams to incorporate into production schedules.
  • Monitor daily production results and revise schedules as necessary.
  • Control all production paperwork and maintain accurate production records.
  • Develop close working relationships with all members of the Production Team.
  • Communicate scheduling changes and production priorities clearly to teams.

Required skills

  • Experience in production scheduling or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and use Progress Plus and other production-related systems
  • Attention to detail and a quality-minded approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
