Overview

The Production Manager at Rise Baking Company will oversee all phases of production to ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations. The role focuses on maximizing production effectiveness through the establishment of standard work, promoting a culture of safety and quality across the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage daily production operations
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop KPIs and report on production trends
  • Provide leadership and motivation to production staff
  • Drive employee engagement and training for safety and productivity
  • Manage annual production operating budget
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with safety and food standards
  • Support food safety programs and quality standards
  • Perform additional job-related duties as needed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing experience in food manufacturing
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience with food packaging equipment and materials
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools
  • Strong financial planning and budgeting skills
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems and ERP/MRP systems
  • Ability to develop training programs and operational procedures
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
