Overview

Kranze Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Production Kitting Specialist in Des Plaines, Illinois, to support the defense industry by accurately assembling customer kits from various components. This crucial role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy and facilitating efficient shipping and receiving operations within the warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately build customer kits by pulling large volumes of parts according to requirements
  • Organize, box, move, stack, and stage completed kits for shipment or internal use
  • Maintain strong inventory control through cycle counts and regular audits
  • Enter received inventory into the warehouse tracking system
  • Lead shipping and receiving activities, managing discrepancies
  • Inspect incoming inventory to ensure completeness and quality
  • Collect, break down, and properly dispose of packaging materials
  • Respond to inventory- or order-related inquiries professionally
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts

Required skills

  • High school diploma
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Dependable with ability to lift and move materials
  • Experience with kitting, materials handling, inventory control, or warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems
  • Basic computer skills
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience or willingness to become certified
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred
  • US citizen with ability to obtain security clearance
