Overview

At Pilgrim's, the Production Hourly role emphasizes safety and teamwork in delivering high-quality poultry products. This position involves various tasks on the processing line, including cutting, trimming, and packaging, while adhering to strict food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim's standards.
  • Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and food safety guidelines.
  • Support team members by sharing skills and knowledge while promoting a positive work atmosphere.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing tasks in different areas of production as needed.

Required skills

  • Ability to multitask and work quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense
  • Team player
  • Poultry or food industry experience is a plus
  • Physical ability to work in cool temperatures and stand for 8-11 hours per day lifting 50 lbs or more
