Overview

As a Production Hourly team member at Pilgrim's in Tate, Georgia, you will be essential in ensuring the safety and quality of poultry products. This role involves working on the processing line to cut, trim, package, and inspect poultry, while adhering to strict food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Process poultry products according to USDA and Pilgrim's standards
  • Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety and food safety guidelines
  • Support team members and promote a positive work atmosphere
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing various tasks in different areas of production

Required skills

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Experience in poultry or food industry
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense
  • Team player, capable of working closely with others
  • Physical ability to work in cool temperatures and lift 50 lbs or more
