Job Description

Overview

As a Production Hourly team member at Pilgrim's, you will play a critical role in delivering safe and high-quality poultry products. This hands-on position involves working on the processing line where you will perform tasks like cutting, trimming, packaging, and inspecting products while adhering to stringent food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Process poultry products using tools and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim's standards
  • Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and food safety guidelines
  • Support team members by sharing skills and promoting a positive work atmosphere
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing various tasks as needed

Required skills

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Poultry or food industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • Willingness to work close to other employees in some stations
  • Physical ability to work in cool temperatures and lift 50 lbs or more
