Job Description

Overview

As a Production Hourly team member at Pilgrim's in Dawsonville, Georgia, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of poultry products. This hands-on position involves working on the processing line where you will perform various tasks including cutting, trimming, and packaging products, while adhering to strict food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
  • Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, food safety, and animal welfare guidelines.
  • Support team members by sharing skills and knowledge while promoting a positive work atmosphere.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing tasks in different areas of production as needed.

Required skills

  • Poultry or food industry experience (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense
  • Team player
  • Physical ability to work in cool temperatures and stand for 8-11 hours
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs or more
