Overview

Avtec Finishing is seeking a Production Associate/Racker for the 2nd shift in Minneapolis. This role involves training for individuals interested in learning a skilled trade in metal finishing, which supports various industries including medical, aerospace, and defense. Employees will prepare, inspect, process, and package metal components, engaging in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Count and prepare customer parts for processing
  • Load and position parts onto racks for finishing operations
  • Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and damage
  • Record production information and complete required paperwork
  • Package finished parts for shipment
  • Follow work instructions and production specifications
  • Maintain quality and accuracy standards
  • Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Required skills

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read a ruler or tape measure
